Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator (Business Solutions Group)

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

 

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Digicel Business field equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and effectively by overseeing and coordinating the maintenance program. The Coordinator will work closely with Digicel clients, contractor maintenance crews and technical support teams to ensure that all preventative maintenance is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all field equipment and facilities
  • Collaborate with client, maintenance crews and support staff to identify areas of concern and develop a plan to address issues
  • Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance activities to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection results, repairs, and replacements
  • Communicate with client, Technical support teams and other stakeholders to ensure that maintenance activities do not disrupt client business operations
  • Monitor equipment and facilities to identify potential problems and take appropriate action to prevent equipment failure and downtime
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure that all necessary replacement parts and equipment are available in a timely manner
  • Train maintenance crews on proper maintenance procedures and techniques
  • Meet regularly with contractors to review operational performance and align on initiatives to maintain high-performance levels.
  • Implement QA/QC initiatives to ensure compliance with Digicel’s Standard Operating Procedures and monitor contractor(s) operations accordingly.
  • The Maintenance Coordinator is expected to demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service to internal and external customers.

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance role, with at least 2 years of experience in preventative maintenance
  • Network+ Certification
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems & regulations, Fibre Optic Networks and Routing & Switching.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
