Primary objective of the job: 

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Route Lead to join our team. The route lead position is a junior manager role responsible for managing and optimizing the channels along the various routes within the parish. You will report and work closely with your Parish Sales Manager and Operational Lead to ensure that all channels within the parish are performing and all objectives of the company are met. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong sales background and the ability to motivate a team of people to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service across the parish.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the respective channels within the parish to achieve the right balanced footprint to drive sales targets and meet company objectives
  • Work alongside your parish sales manager to develop and implement sales strategies to grow parish market share
  • Analyze parish data and provide recommendations for route optimization such as brand visibility, positioning and accessibility according to defined footprint.
  • Daily audit of company channels to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards based on the relevant KPIs.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues and concerns within the channels by providing daily reports to the respective stakeholders within the S&D department to ensure seamless operations to drive customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all channels pass monthly audits to meet brand guidelines
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the channels
  • Train and coach team members on products and services to improve sales skills, performance and customer experience.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations to provide feedback and recommendations to team members.

 

Academic qualifications and experience required:

  • Sales Certification in sales or related field
  • Strong sales background with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must have a reliable motor vehicle and a valid driver’s license
