The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will assume a strategic role in the overall management of Tatil Life Assurance Limited. The CFO will oversee the preparation of financial statements and reviews the financial and operating statements with key management personnel.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a key member of the Tatil Life Assurance Limited Senior Management Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will oversee the preparation of financial statements and reviews the financial and operating statements with key management personnel. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the finance team and ensuring that financial metrics are clearly communicated to their team
GENERAL DUTIES:
1. Provide timely and accurate analysis of financial reporting, budgets, financial trends and forecasts that will assist the Board and other senior managers in making critical business decisions. .
2. Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities for TATIL Life.
3. Prepare and ensure timely and accurate submission of financial and statistical reports for Management, Board of Directors and Head Office as required.
4. Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts of TATIL Life
5. Review financial statements with the management team
6. Conduct management meetings and communicate financial performance to senior management
7. Lead on the management of financial projects as required
8. Prepare and maintain dashboard and financial metrics for reporting
9. Provide leadership to ensure internal controls and financial reporting are adequately designed and effective
10. Develop and implement financial and administrative policies and procedures
11. Lead on the completion of the annual financial audit
12. Manage the key financial relationships including banks and shareholders
13. Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation.
14. Oversees and manage costs related to the new projects and product development.
15. Oversee compliance with Regulatory Authorities (CBTT, TTSE).
16. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable Group and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
17. Identify efficient and effective ways to manage overall production and operational costs.
18. Prepare annual budgets, financial plans and interim forecasts.
19. Manage strategically the accounting and finance functions, either through direct participation or via management of staff.
20. Set Performance Standards, Key Performance Indicators and conduct performance assessments for direct reports.
21. Develop close relationships with budget holders in order to prepare monthly budgets, monitor and analyze income and expenditure, identify variances and negotiate appropriate remedial action.
22. Work with independent auditors.
23. Perform any other related duties as required by the General Manager.
