We are seeking to employ an experienced Front Office Manager who will be responsible for coordinating, organizing and directing the daily operation of the Front Office. This candidate will ensure that the team comply with all established operating procedures to achieve guest satisfaction.

We are seeking an experienced Front Office Manager to join our company.  The primary goal of the Front Office Manager is to organize the activities of the department according  to the needs, and based on the arrival and departures occupation forecasts.  Responsible for the overall operation of the front desk, includingroom rental, reservation management, front office staffing, training, recordkeeping, report preparation and guest relations.

 

Qualification and Experience:

  • At least a Bachelors Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management or related field
  • Training in management and/ supervisory skills
  • At least two (2) years’ experience as a Front Office Manager in a 5-star luxury hotel with 500 rooms or more
  • Computer literate

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assists in interviewing, hiring, orientation and training new front office staff and newly promoted staff.
  • Organizes the staff scheduling for the department
  • To coordinate the daily fulfilment of rooms with the Executive Housekeeper, according to the priorities of the operation.
  • To keep informed of the works carried out on malfunctions and broken equipment in the rooms, and to follow up on each case
  • To coordinate with other department managers concerning equipment and supplies needed
  • To respond politely and discreetly to guests bringing complaints and claims, as well as to follow up on them in the proper manner
  • To supervise the fulfilment of all functions of the Reception Desk Area.
  • To support the Guest Relations, Bell Desk and the Telephones departments in the fulfilment of all applicable standards and guidelines
  • To ensure that the information concerning the hotel is given to guests following optimum presentation standards
  • To inspect the lobby, making sure that it is clean, ordered, scented, and that ambient music adheres to standards
  • To keep abreast of non- package sales promotions, such as Rooms Upgrades, Day Passes, Club Mobay, etc. in order to meet sales objectives
  • To keep the applicable rules and regulations posted in a visible location
  • To know the applicable promotions, rates, and documents packages
  • To check and ensure that all collections procedures and policies are being fulfilled
  • To check and assign the guests’ arrivals and departures rooming list
  • To control and supervise the end of shifts of cashiers at the reception desk
  • To check and follow up on no shows and over bookings
  • To ensure rooms are assigned in family trips, groups, and special requests
  • To authorize the stationary stock, as well as to supervise that it is well cared, handled and managed
  • To ensure and control rooms blocked for preventative maintenance or special repairs, hospitality use and room changes
  • To ensure that all clients are issued with the correct armband as an indication of them being authorized in house guests
  • To maintain and compare manual record and system records of room status given by housekeeping to ensure no room discrepancies exists.
  • To prepare reports as required
  • To fulfil the requirements of the quality program, the power savings program and the environmental program.
  • To maintain a high level of professional ethics at all times
  • Any other assigned task
