Finance Analyst
Primary Job Function:
- Reporting to the Manager, Finance and Operations the incumbent will prepare weekly bank reconciliation statements for all operating accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of the respective management reports as well as preparing and submitting reports to the FSC and TAJ.
- Assist in the preparation and completion of the audited financial statements and tax returns.
- Ensure that all statutory returns are filed on a timely basis.
Qualification:
- First degree/diploma Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Be computer literate, specifically should have excellent spreadsheet skills. Knowledge of the OPICS product would be an asset.
- Have excellent communication skills.
Required Experience:
- Although not a pre-requisite, at least one year experience in accounting would be an asset.
Specialized Techniques / Knowledge:
- Knowledge of investment, portfolio management, trust services and risk management.
- An understanding of the market for investments, pensions, and securities management.
- Knowledge of relevant securities laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of the company’s application software, OPICS.
- Knowledge of application software in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentations
