INVENTORY COORDINATOR

JOB PURPOSE

Responsibility to receive and issue stock and non-stock Stores items, and track and maintain stocks levels and inventory of all Items in the custody of the Stores.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

          ISSUES

  • Retrieve and issue items as requested on Material Request Pick Ticket (MRPT), ensuring requester signs the MRPT confirming receipt of correct parts and quantity
  • Complete relevant sections of MRPT and present to Inventory Officer for updating in CHAMPS
  • Issue and receive tools in accordance with Tools Issue/Return guidelines, ensuring that a damage report form is completed when a damaged tool is returned
  • Issue radios and/or radio batteries to Engineering personnel only
  • Collect defective radios from the users, tag with the details of the fault and the person reporting the fault and submit to Inventory Officer
  • Issue/return tyres for assembling at Tyre Shop and non-stock motor vehicle tyres which are in the custody of the Stores using the requisite form
  • Ensures that rotables that are issued on an exchanged basis are properly tagged and placed outside the Stores entrance and notes receipt of serviceable part on MRPT

RECEIVALS

  • Count, sort or weigh incoming goods and verify against shipping documentation
  • Record and check quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to purchase orders and specifications and ensure goods are not damaged
  • Update New Item to be verified File (NIF) and relevant system with new items received, and update relevant book with the following receipts for verification:  Warranty parts, Company assets, Rotables
  • Request verification of items from Section Heads, Planners and other relevant persons, ensuring that the relevant files and serviceable tags are signed, prior to receiving items in CHAMPS
  • Update relevant book with items received for the Vacis Machine and advises authorised person to verify, sign and collect parts
  • Checks items received against existing items for physical conformity and update CHAMPS with general inventory and items that have been verified
  • Labels stock items received, correctly store them in FIFO layout and submit relevant documents to Team Lead

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Five CSEC or GCE subjects including English Language and Mathematics
  • One (1) year’s working experience in materials management and warehousing
  • Working knowledge of the handling and storage of engineering materials, electronic equipment and dangerous goods
  • Familiarity with equipment standards, various types of engineering spare parts and their application
  • Ability to operate industrial forklift and hand trucks to transport inventory as required
  • Problem solving and analysis, documentation, reporting, record keeping
  • Project management, organising, communication, collaboration, confidentially
  • Current Driver’s licence at least Class B
