To plan and oversee the implementation and completion of enterprise-wide projects undertaken by the Authority, specifically, the design and implementation of a business intelligence solution.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage the assigned project(s) to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  2. Prepare and monitor project plans/milestones and/or realign project schedules to accommodate unforeseen delays.
  3. Establish and implement project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
  4. Collect, analyse, and summarize information and trends as needed to prepare fortnightly project status reports.
  5. Meet with the Authority's clients to clarify and finalize specific requirements of the Business Intelligence Solution based on the project scope.
  6. Coordinate resources and activities for the execution of projects.
  7. Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track the progress of projects assigned.
  8. Measure and track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to analyze the successful completion of project goals.
  9. Identify and advise on any project management issues that may negatively impact the success of the project(s) assigned.
  10. Alert the Manager/Committees to scope changes and cost issues, potential risks and issues as they arise.
  11. Establish and manage relationships with the Authority's project-related stakeholders.
  12. Identify potential project risks and promptly bring them to the attention of the Executive Officer, along with proposed mitigation measures for potential project risks.
  13. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and project-related files (i.e. electronic or otherwise).
  14. Monitor and maintain budgetary objectives for the project assigned and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
  15. Monitor the project(s) to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of implementation.
  16. Provide a Handover Report on completion of the project assignment.
  17. Prepare a post-mortem report subsequent to the successful completion of the solution
  18. Comply with the HSE policy & procedures of the Authority and cooperate with workplace health and safety measures and initiatives.
  19. Take reasonable care for own safety and the safety of others and report all accidents, injuries, near misses and hazards to Manager/Supervisor.
  20. Perform any other related duties that may be required for the successful implementation of the Business Intelligence Solution and as required by job function.

 

 Qualifications and Experience

  1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  2. Accredited Project Management certification.
  3. Minimum (5) years' experience in project management.
  4. Experience in managing IT projects, business intelligence/data analytics solutions, and/or experience in the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors will be considered an asset.

  1. Project Management software applications and tools
  2. Knowledge of business intelligence/data analytics solutions

  1. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Project, Word and Excel.

  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Excellent organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  7. Quick-thinking and easily adaptable to the changing needs of the project
  8. Ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams with understanding and guidance
