About the Role and the Person
Reporting to the Head of IT, the IT Project Manager will provide solid professional and technical support in overseeing the full rollout of all relevant ERP modules while ensuring seamless integration with existing technologies supporting LPG bottling, bulk distribution, and industrial gas sales (Oxygen and CO₂).
The incumbent will have a keen focus and passion towards ERP implementation, project and technology management, and stakeholder governance. He/ she will be passionate about the gas industry and a curious meta-thinker. As an innovative contributor, he/she will constantly check and question information and identify new approaches to enhance the mandate of the role.
MGPJL has other specialists who will collaborate with this role in support of the implementation and governance process.
The IT Project Manager has the following principal accountabilities:
1. ERP Implementation
- Lead end-to-end implementation of the ERP system, including planning, execution, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Manage the rollout of all relevant ERP modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory, Production, Sales & Distribution, Maintenance).
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, external vendors, and implementation partners.
- Ensure ERP functionality aligns with LPG bottling, bulk distribution, and industrial gas business processes.
- Manage data migration, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Develop and execute change management and user training plans.
2. Project & Technology Management
- Oversee multiple IT projects supporting our operations.
- Support and improve existing operational technologies (plant systems, logistics, sales, and reporting tools).
- Identify process improvement opportunities using technology and automation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Use optimal project management methodologies and collaborative software, while ensuring effective knowledge transfer to project team members.
- Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation plans.
3. Stakeholder & Governance
- Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT teams, and vendors.
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with Massy Group IT governance, security, and data standards.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage and coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure flawless execution of projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and communication for stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any issue that arises.
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, progress reports, and final deliverables.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet MGPJL’s quality standards and align with organizational goals.
Qualifications, Experience and Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience managing IT projects, including ERP implementations and business process improvement in manufacturing or bottling operations; distribution and logistics; inventory and supply chain management.
- Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional ERP projects and working with ERP vendors and system integrators.
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, or hybrid).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Work experience in oil & gas, LPG, industrial gases, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
- Track record in implementing ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar software.
- Experience supporting operational technologies in plant or industrial environments.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is an asset.
