The IT Assistant will support the IT Department in maintaining the company’s technology infrastructure. This includes providing first-level technical support, assisting with system maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware and software systems, and helping staff troubleshoot.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide day-to-day technical support to users on hardware, software, and networking issues

· Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment

· Install, update, and maintain software applications in accordance with company policies

· Monitor and respond to IT service requests in a timely and professional manner

· Assist in maintaining network infrastructure including Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN connections

· Support in the management of user accounts, access permissions, and system backups

· Help document IT procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides

· Liaise with external vendors for IT equipment procurement and technical support

· Conduct regular checks to ensure systems are running optimally and securely

· Assist in implementing cybersecurity protocols and data protection measures

· Participate in IT projects and company-wide technology upgrades as required

Other Duties

· Perform any other duties assigned from time to time to meet business needs.

 

Job Requirements:

· Education & Experience:

o Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

o Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an IT support role

 

· Skills & Competencies:

o Knowledge of Windows, MS Office Suite, and basic networking

o Familiarity with helpdesk and ticketing systems is a plus

o Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

o Good communication and interpersonal skills

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

o High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service orientation
