Human Resource Officer - Recruitment
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resource and Administration, the Human Resource Officer- Recruitment will be detail-oriented and will provide solid professional and technical support to management and staff. He/she will play a critical role in attracting and retaining top-tier talent for our organization, while playing a vital role in team collaboration by ensuring that the right individuals are brought onboard to achieve company goals effectively.
Core Functions
- Analyzing business requirements and identify gaps in talent towards understanding hiring needs, and develop a comprehensive plan to source and attract the right talent.
- Participating in workforce planning and budgeting to forecast recruitment needs.
- Development and maintenance of talent pools for high-attrition roles.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with educational institutions and recruitment agencies towards sourcing and hiring the right candidates.
- Designing and managing job fairs as may be required.
- Using multiple channels to advertise and market open job positions to attract potential candidates. This includes posting job ads on relevant websites, social media platforms, industry-specific publications and job boards.
- Liaise with talent recruiters, acting for the Human Resource and Administration Manager.
- Screen resumes, pre-screen candidates and review applications to identify the most qualified applicants.
- Conducting interviews of qualified candidates.
- Ensuring that the hiring process is in line with the company’s policies and the law.
- Providing guidance and training to hiring managers. This will include interviewing techniques, effective pre-screening questions, and promoting a wider range of candidate diversity.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders such as hiring managers, department heads, and external recruitment partners to identify qualified candidates to fill critical roles.
- Partnering with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed job descriptions and develop hiring criteria.
- Developing sound recruitment strategies and procedures that are cost-effective, efficient and responsive to the hiring needs.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM certification is a plus
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in recruitment.
- Solid understanding of recruitment best practices, including competency-based interviews and behavioral assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and other HR software tools.
