Five Islands Water & Amusement Park is looking for a suitable HR Manager.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Position title: Human Resource Manager
  • Status: Permanent, Full-Time, Shift
  • Reports to: General Manager
  • Location: Chaguaramas
JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for planning, managing and directing all human resource programmes, policies and activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage payroll process
  • Manage employee records in payroll system: create; update; deactivate, as needed
  • Manage administrative functions: contract preparation and distribution for part-time staff; job letters; biometrics; filing; employee records maintenance, including attendance, orientation, etc.
  • Manage and monitor employee benefits: insurance; cell allowance; employee cards programming; leave entitlements, etc.
  • Manage uniform purchase, inventory and distribution
  • Coordinate and manage the recruitment and retention of staff, including mass recruitment exercises for seasonal operations
  • Prepare contracts for monthly staff and managers
  • Create, implement and update standard operating procedures for the HR department
  • Develop, manage and lead the monitoring and evaluation of employee performance
  • Plan and execute team-building / motivational and recognition events for staff
  • Deliver training to staff: new employee orientation; supervisory; customer service, etc.
  • Advise and coach management team on employee and industrial relations matters
  • Lead employee incident investigation and workmen’s compensation
  • Prepare and manage HR budget
  • Enforce Park policies, rules and regulations
  • Liaise and coordinate with relevant vendors
  • Maintain Company culture
  • Prepare relevant HR reports
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the HR department on a day to day basis
  • Other duties as assigned for the successful operation of the Park
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • AND / OR 5 years’ HR Generalist experience
  • Sound knowledge of labour law, statutory regulations and HR best practices
