Human Resource Generalist, support Human Resource Manager
THIS POSITION IS OPEN ONLY TO NATIONALS OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO AND THOSE HOLDING VALID AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE COUNTRY, AND RESIDENT IN THE COUNTRY AT THE PRESENT TIME.
COMPENSATION: $12,000.00 per month
Location: Aranguez, Trinidad
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, however, if the HR dept is overseeing an event/activity on the weekend, the candidate will be expected to work on those occasions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Source, test, interview and recommend suitable applicants to satisfy staff requirements.
2. Conduct orientation with new employees.
3. Prepare and distribute employment contracts for monthly paid employees.
4. Prepare documentation to effect payroll adjustments for monthly paid employees.
5. Prepare documentation relevant to all non-operative staff e.g. recruitment, confirmation, promotion, transfers etc.
6. Monitor and advise of probation and contract endings for management employees.
7. Process employee/customer accidents and incidents also report to OSHA and Insurers.
8. Co-ordinate pre-employment examination for all employees.
9. Administer the Group Insurance Plans.
10. Assist in the co-ordination of training programmes in keeping with the organization’s needs.
11. Assist in developing and implementing programmes to attract and retain staff and customers e.g. incentives, scholarships, competitions, newsletters, etc.
12. Record and monitor monthly paid employees’ information in HRIS – staff movements, leave etc.
13. Prepare payment vouchers for HR authorized expenditure.
14. Update monthly paid employees’ records.
15. Represent the Company in IR matters as required.
16. Co-ordinate the annual social calendar.
17. Provide administrative support to the Manager – Human Resources or delegate as and when required
18. Perform other duties as required by the job function.
Minimum Knowledge, skills and Abilities Required:
• Effective interpersonal negotiation, conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Proficient in computer applications used within the department.
• Degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline form a recognized University ort equivalent.
• Minimum: Three (3) years’ experience in a similar or related field.
