The Human Resources Assistant supports the HR department in daily administrative tasks and helps ensure HR operations. This role involves maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment processes, and providing support in employee relations and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
  2. Maintain and update employee records (digital and physical files)
  3. Support onboarding and orientation of new employees
  4. Help process payroll information and track employee attendance and leave records
  5. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  6. Assist in organizing training sessions and employee engagement activities
  7. Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, letters, and reports
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws
  9. Provide general administrative support to the HR department

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  2. Previous administrative or HR experience is an asset
  3. Knowledge of HR principles and labor laws
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  5. Familiarity with HR software systems is a plus
