The Human Resource Assistant is a professional who is responsible for the daily administration and HR duties of an organization. The incumbent will assist with all key HR functions as well as provide clerical support to all employees. The goal is to ensure the support for the HR department’s operations to run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization.
Job Description:
This position will be shared between Ansa Polymer and Carib Glassworks Ltd.
Ensure that employee personal and training files are up to date with all relevant documents as per ISO standards.
Manage the Employee Central system, ensuring all persons & positions you are the assigned HR Rep for, are fully updated within the Group HR policy timeframes.
Assist with the identification, selection, and interviewing of candidates and providing support for the administrative and onboarding of the new hire process.
Provide administrative support in all areas of the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure goals are achieved.
Assist with entering of times for all employees via the Jantek system for payroll purposes.
Assist in providing proactive solutions and resolving all HR related queries and requests.
Assist with the execution of HR engagement activities as and when required.
Co-ordinate training sessions and maintain accurate records of these on employee Human Resource application and files.
Oversee and administer benefit programs, conduct periodic audits; reconciliations for compliance and accuracy; and make recommendations of possible actions to continuously improve processes.
Assist with all activities relating to the performance management processes and procedures.
Prepare various correspondences, reports and other documentation as required.
Comply and perform all duties in conformance with the Company’s/Department’s strategies along with the Quality Management System as it relates to health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
Perform any other related duties as required by the job function.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources or equivalent qualification from a recognised, accredited institution.
Certification in Industrial Relations or Labour Law in Trinidad and Tobago is an asset.
Minimum of one (1) year human resources experience.
Experience in using HR applications (Success Factors and HRIS).
Intermediacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Collaborative, well-organized.
Self-accountable and displays a high level of integrity.
