The HR Assistant actively participates and supports the Payroll123 migration project, and provide administrative support to the human resource department in all functional areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the payroll project implementation by performing testing activities, data validation and migration.
Update and maintain employee payroll related records in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System), ensuring all information is current and accurate.
Ensure compliance with the collective agreement for accurate payroll input and scenario testing, while ensuring compliance with Group’s human resource policies and procedures.
Respond to employee inquiries while ensuring a high level of customer service.
Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
Collaborate with HR team members and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and resolution of discrepancies.
Assist in the advertising of vacancies internally and externally.
Schedule interviews, employee medicals, and complete reference and background checks.
Prepare various correspondences, reports and other documentation for decision making.
Ensure all employee and relevant records and data management files are accurate and current at all times.
Assist with various HR programs as required.
Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
Perform any other job duties as required by the job function.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology or Management from a recognised, accredited institution.
At least two (2) years human resources experience.
Certification in Industrial Relations or Labour Law in Trinidad and Tobago would be an asset.
Experience in using computerized HRIS software and MS Office Suite.
