Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic

Lift Tec Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of industrial and construction equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about keeping equipment running at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines

  • Conduct engine overhauls, brake repairs, and transmission and electrical diagnostics

  • Maintain accurate service records, including parts used and repair reports

  • Test equipment after repairs to ensure optimal performance

  • Support emergency breakdowns both on-site and in the field

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and equipment operators about repair timelines and equipment status

  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or technical certification in diesel mechanics or related field

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment repair

  • Proficient in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems

  • Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding environments

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL or equipment operator certification is an asset)

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and time management

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program

  • Experience with equipment brands such as Hyster, JCB, SANY, or Crown

  • Welding and fabrication skills

  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems (CMMS)
