The H&S Manager is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of a Group-wide Health & Safety Management System.

Job Summary

To lead the strategic and operational execution of a comprehensive Health & Safety program across the Blue Waters Group, ensuring compliance, minimizing risks, and embedding a proactive safety culture throughout all operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilites

  • Develop and implement a Group-wide Health & Safety strategy aligned with corporate and regulatory requirements.

  • Promote a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.

  • Oversee hazard identification and control, including risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).

  • Lead emergency preparedness efforts, including disaster response plans, drills, and training.

  • Investigate incidents to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.

  • Manage safety training programs and drive awareness initiatives, ensuring PPE compliance.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, Fire Services, MOH, and other applicable laws.

  • Provide technical guidance and standardize safety practices across all affiliated companies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.

  • NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.

  • Minimum 5 years’ managerial or senior H&S experience, preferably in a multi-site or group structure.

  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 & FSSC 22000 standards.

  • First Aid/CPR certification required; Train-the-Trainer certification an asset.

  • Membership in a recognized Safety Professional Body preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with Safety Management Systems or ERP software.
