Support the HSE Team in the development and maintenance of the HSE management system and achievement of team goals.

Key Responsiblities and Accountabilites

Key Deliverables

  • Provide support in effectively reducing HSE risks and organizational exposure and ensuring that the HSE management system is audited, maintained and enhanced.
  • Take all practicable measures to ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, external and internal HSE requirements.
  • Conduct HSE monitoring activities including but not limited to site visits/ workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, job safety analyses, emergency drills etc.
  • Prepare HSE reports and presentations in a timely manner, with accuracy and attention to detail inclusive of audits, inspections, risk assessments, trends/ data analysis, accident/incident reporting and investigation etc.
  • Intervene and take actions for continuous improvement of HSE performance where necessary.
  • Continually improve HSE awareness and the Company’s HSE culture through coordination and implementation of various initiatives to promote HSE (e.g. flyers, infographics, HSE Week etc.).
  • Assist in coordinating, conducting and developing HSE training for new and existing employees and contractors as well as toolbox talks.
  • Assist in responding to emergency situations including medical emergencies, administering first aid treatment etc.
  • Assist in actively following up on HSE corrective action items to ensure effective implementation.
  • Provide administrative support (e.g. filing, preparing minutes of meetings, updating HSE records, SharePoint page etc.) to maintain effective HSE document management and recordkeeping.
  • All responsibilities and accountabilities must be executed in accordance with the company’s Customer Service Management System (CSMS), Quality Health and Safety Environment (QHSE) and Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) policies and practices.

      • Ability to be proactive, take initiative, prioritize and work efficiently in a dynamic and challenging environment with little supervision.
      • Good planning, problem solving, critical thinking, investigative & organizational skills.

Qualifications & Experience

The position holder should have:

  • An Associate degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline or internationally recognized Diploma/Certification in HSE (e.g. NEBOSH certificate) from a recognized institution
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar position would be an asset
  • Qualification/ capability to conduct HSE training
  • Knowledge in keeping with OSH industry standards and legal HSE requirements
  • Training in First Aid & CPR, Defensive Driving, Fire Safety and HSE auditing would be an asset.
  • Valid Driver’s Permit
  • Must own a reliable vehicle and cellphone. 

Qualifications & Experience

Computer Skills
