Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator will support the Human Resources Department in key operational areas including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training coordination, and compliance with Jamaican labour laws. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, people-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment and selection processes, including scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communications
  • Assist with onboarding processes, preparing documentation and organizing orientation sessions for new employees
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and Jamaican Labour regulations
  • Respond to HR-related inquiries from employees and escalate complex matters when necessary
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Coordinate training programs, staff development initiatives, and employee engagement activities
  • Support employee relations matters and assist in conflict resolution processes
  • Assist in organizing staff events, meetings, and HR initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in HR roles, particularly in recruitment, training and development, and employee relations
  • Sound knowledge of Jamaican Labour Laws
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
