The HR Manager – Banking will be required to identify HR strategies to meet business objectives and provide a strategic direction for the Banking Sector- ANSA Bank, ANSA Merchant Bank Limited.

Job Summary:

  • The HR Manager – Banking will be required to identify HR strategies to meet business objectives and provide a strategic direction for the Banking Sector- ANSA Bank, ANSA Merchant Bank Limited. The HR Manager will ensure that a higher-level support is rendered to various strategic business units and will ultimately oversee the execution of the Sector’s core human resource functions.

Job Description:

  • Identify the right HR strategies and solutions to meet business objectives and provide strategic direction for the business.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR department servicing ANSA Bank, ANSA Merchant Bank.
  • Partner with managers to develop and implement performance management and employee development programs.
  • Conducts the annual Manpower planning exercise. This includes building, monitoring and tracking a consolidated recruitment plan for the Sector.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders, business partners, and coach managers.
  • Provide guidance and support to the business and the HR team on labor and employee relations, talent management, compensation, training and development, and organizational development.
  • Create and drive initiatives that support employee engagement and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Interpret policies for management and employees
  • Support higher level (managerial) recruitment efforts for the Banking Sector.
  • Facilitate succession planning and ensure participation in performance management programs.
  • Lead the implementation of assigned ongoing and new HR initiatives that align to the strategic priorities.
  • Work with management to develop strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives, and translate strategies and plans into the desired operational outcomes.
  • Educate management and key stakeholders on best practices in change management.
  • Work with the SHRM to support the full negotiation process for ANSA Bank, ANSA Merchant Bank.
  • Manage all disciplinary matters within the Banking sector.
  • Responsible for EC data quality and ensuring Banking EC system is updated as per Blue Book policy.
  • Review and provide support as it relates to the succession planning process for the leadership critical roles within the Banking sector.
  • Ensure work is delivered within the HR QoSS standards established framework.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management/management studies/business.
  • administration or another related discipline.
  • MBA/Post graduate degree will be considered an asset.
  • Professional Human Resource designations/certifications e.g. SHRM
  • 8-10 years’ professional experience in the field of Human Resources.
  • Labor and Employment Laws (Intermediate)
  • Microsoft Visio (Intermediate)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate)
  • SAP (Intermediate)
