Job Title: HR Development & Planning Analyst

Job Purpose / Objective:

The HR Development & Planning Analyst supports the design and execution of strategic HR initiatives, with a focus on workforce planning, employee development, talent forecasting, and performance management. This role ensures the organization has the right talent, with the right skills, in the right roles—at the right time—by bridging strategic HR planning with practical implementation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to implement strategic HR initiatives and support workforce planning to anticipate future talent needs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of key HR programs, including individual development plans, personal improvement plans, succession planning, organizational design, and internal mobility initiatives.
  • Partner with technical departments to define and execute employee development plans.
  • Work closely with department heads to assess workforce requirements and address skill or capacity gaps.
  • Manage the company’s competency framework, including assessments and leadership development initiatives.
  • Support internal mobility planning and execution in collaboration with the HR Manager.
  • Evaluate training programs for effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain and update the company’s organizational chart monthly and revise job descriptions as needed.
  • Develop and standardize processes to ensure consistency and transparency in performance management and evaluation.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, and contribute to retention strategies.
  • Liaise with Training Coordinators to ensure timely and relevant employee development training.
  • Ensure successful implementation of Group-level development tools within the subsidiary.
  • Analyze and recommend updates to the company’s compensation strategy to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and provide HR-related services as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and diverse team environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset.
