HR Business Partner

A leading general insurance provider is seeking an experienced and results-oriented HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to key departments within the organization. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning people strategies with business goals, driving organizational change, and fostering a culture of engagement and high performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders to align HR strategies with company goals.

  • Lead and support change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions.

  • Develop workforce and succession plans to anticipate future capability needs.

  • Diagnose organizational challenges and implement development interventions.

  • Utilize employee engagement data and analytics to inform action plans.

  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to build leadership and team capability.

  • Support talent management and career development strategies that promote retention.

  • Foster an inclusive and psychologically safe workplace where employees thrive.

  • Ensure HR practices comply with Jamaican labour laws and industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years’ HR experience, including at least 1 year in a strategic or consultative role.

  • Proven experience in change management, organizational development, or culture transformation.

  • Certification in Prosci Change Management, SHRM-CP/SCP, or related OD discipline would be an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of Jamaican labour legislation and HR best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical ability and comfort with HR data and metrics.

  • Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

  • Collaborative, solution-oriented, and proactive mindset.
