The HR Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day management of HR operations, performing both administrative and strategic functions in the administration of the policies, and procedures organization.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to Reporting daily Employee issues.
  • Responsible for employee Leave Administration ensuring all leave forms are accurately completed and recorded.
  • Assist with the Staff loan facility ensuring approvals are communicated, deducted and accurately documented.
  • Updating employee HRIS databases as necessary
  • Assist with preparing pre-onboarding and onboarding packages.
  • Assist with the employment of Employees for NI # and registrations & Terminations.
  • Assist with the day-to-day administrative functions of HR Department as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of employment contracts, job Letters & employment Letters in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for tracking employee’s end of Training & probation dates.
  • Sort and distribute mail as necessary.
  • Any other duties assigned by the HRM and Management

 

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a HR Assistant or related experience for a minimum of 2 years
  • Strong decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb computer literacy with capability in MS office and proficiency to quickly learn new systems.
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • High ethical conduct with the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
