Lydford Logistics is one of Jamaica's premier agriculture and food processing facilities. We provide services for cold, chilled, and dry storage and third-party logistics to hotels, restaurants, and other institutions islandwide.

Executive Opportunity: Group General Manager 

About the Role Lydford Logistics Limited is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Group General Manager to lead and optimize the operations of our diverse portfolio under the Lydford Logistics Group of Companies. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the successful candidate will be the operational anchor of the business, responsible for organizing, directing, and transforming departmental activities. We are looking for a transformational and responsive servant leader who empowers their teams while driving the development, recommendation, and implementation of strategic programs and initiatives to accomplish the company's broader objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Technical Requirements

•  Strong Financial Oversight: Overall management responsibilities for a business with sales exceeding US$20m per annum. You must possess demonstrated experience in budgeting and forecasting techniques, costing, as well as accounting principles and practices.

•  Manufacturing & Distribution Success: Proven experience in warehousing, inventory management, food processing and distribution, with leadership exposure in managing all functions of a logistics entity including warehouse, quality, and purchasing.

•  Process Improvement: Hands-on experience in improvement techniques such as LEAN, 5S, 8D, Kaizen, and ISO/TS systems. 

•  Statutory Compliance: Experience in statutory compliance for factories as per Factory Act, Food Authorities, etc.

   

Qualifications & Experience

•  Education: A Master's Degree in General  Management, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized tertiary institution. 

•  Experience: A minimum of 10 years of leadership exposure managing comprehensive food manufacturing and logistics functions and associated financial acuity.

•  Certifications: Project Management Training and/or Certification is required. Six Sigma certification would be an asset.
