TOSL Engineering Limited seeks an experienced General Manager to lead its Mechanical Engineering & Reliability Division, driving sales growth, managing operations, and ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery in compliance with QHSES standards and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify markets and clients, conduct market research, network, and attend industry events. 
  • Create business development plans, set sales targets, and monitor progress. 
  • Communicate with clients, enhance retention strategies, and implement feedback improvements.
  • Oversee contract implementation and collaborate with estimation or other external groups for smooth execution. 
  • Analyze trends and competitors to create innovative sales strategies. 
  • Lead the development of marketing materials, conduct presentations, and utilize digital marketing. 
  • Provide sales updates and align efforts with other departments. 
  • Prepare tailored presentations for clients highlighting service and product benefits of TOSL. 
  • Lead tender processes, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure contracts meet corporate guidelines and industry codes. 
  • Offer constructive feedback for service improvement and foster a culture of continuous enhancement. 
  • Engage in continuous education and maintain industry connections. 

Operations Management

  • Manage recruitment and develop training programs in conjunction with People & Culture department for new hires. 
  • Utilize performance management systems and provide regular feedback. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of products and services to all customers. 
  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering and reliability teams to support client plant operations, capital projects, and maintenance activities.
  • Work with clients to develop and execute long-term reliability strategies, asset integrity programs, and preventive/predictive maintenance systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all engineering and maintenance work.
  • Oversee mechanical equipment design, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
  • Champion root cause analyses, failure mode and effects analyses, and other reliability tools to identify and correct equipment issues.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resource planning, and cost control initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the clients’ Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and Procurement teams to ensure optimal equipment lifecycle performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support digital transformation in maintenance and reliability functions.
  • Develop KPIs to track mechanical performance and reliability metrics.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or an equivalent certification.
  • Project Management Certification.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in managing engineering products and services in the oil and gas industry and other related industries, five (5) of which must be at a Senior Management level.
  • Proven track record in implementing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and asset management strategies.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects.
