We are seeking a commercially focused General Manager to drive our sales growth in Miami and Jamaica, which will include regular travel between Jamaica, Miami and the broader Caribbean region.

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a dynamic and growing multi-national logistics company operating across various territories globally, with a specialization in Caribbean and LATAM logistics, as well as an expanding portfolio of worldwide services. 

We are seeking a commercially focused General Manager to drive our sales growth in Miami and Jamaica, which will include regular travel between Jamaica, Miami and the broader Caribbean region.

The ideal candidate will be based in either Kingston or Miami and should be a team player who possesses strong commercial acumen, be results driven, along with direct B2B sales experience in fast moving consumer goods, service industries or shipping and logistics.

We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented professional who will contribute to and take charge of the implementation, management, and measurement of our commercial strategy, marketing initiatives, sales efforts, and customer service in the Miami to Jamaica market in order to drive growth in alignment with the Group's strategic objectives.

Supported by our operational and financial teams in Miami, you will also oversee operational activities to ensure compliance and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. The role is expected to be balanced between Jamaica and Miami, involving operational oversight of Miami, implementation of commercial strategies with the operational and sales teams, and engagement in key account management to enhance relationships with both customers and suppliers.

The primary focus of this position will be on business and brand growth in Jamaica and Miami, with strong backing from our UK head office operations. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, determined, and resilient, thriving in a direct B2B sales environment and prioritizing a highly professional and commercially focused approach to all inquiries.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years-experience in direct B2B sales.
  • A Batchelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, logistics, etc.
  • Proven sales and management track record in similar senior leadership role.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strategic thinker who can analyse data and market trends.
  • Highly IT literate.
  • Ability to travel regularly and sometimes at short notice.
  • Passport holder with full driving licence.
  • Spanish speaker is desirable but not essential.
