A well-established insurance brokerage firm is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to oversee operations, marketing, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Drive a minimum of 10% annual sales income growth (excluding inflation and generic market growth).
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to expand the client base and build customer loyalty.
  • Identify new business opportunities using market intelligence and analysis of economic trends.
  • Strengthen brand recognition and position the company as a top-tier insurance brokerage

Operational & Service Delivery Excellence

  • Improve operational efficiency to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish performance standards and implement monitoring systems for continuous improvement.
  • Optimize relationships with insurers and key stakeholders to secure favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and IFRS requirements; safeguard corporate and client information.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and motivate Marketing and Operations teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Enhance staff competency and engagement through targeted training and development.
  • Implement HR strategies to resolve grievances and boost workplace productivity.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through clear goal setting and accountability.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Oversee underwriting, negotiation, and financial dealings with insurers and clients.
  • Approve emergency expenditures within authorized limits; recommend financial actions to management.
  • Provide strategic input on supplier changes, administrative policies, and recruitment activities.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Management, Insurance, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification in Insurance/Risk Management (e.g., ACII, FCII, AIIC, CPCU) is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years in a senior management role within the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and supervising management-level staff.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance-related software.
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication.
  • Capacity for innovation and change management in competitive environments.
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ownership of a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain FSC Licensing and meet industry regulatory standards.
  • Satisfactory references, police report, and credit history.
