GENERAL MANAGER

As a General Manager for Turks and Caicos Collection, you will be responsible for managing the Hotel Executive team and overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest experience. As the General Manager you will also be required to manage profitability and guest satisfaction measures.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for strategic planning and long-term vision and projects.
  • Oversee managerial and other staff to ensure high guest satisfaction and employee retention.
  • Function as the Strategic Business Leader of the resort.   
  • Position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives.
  • Focus on target customer needs, employee satisfaction, growing revenues and maximizing financial performance of the resort
  • Ensure costs are controlled and revenue opportunities are effectively sourced and delivered
    • Conducting routine walkthroughs of Resort property
    • Any other ad hoc duties or tasks as assigned or directed by management. knowledge of luxury marketing, sales.  Brand experience a must.
    • Sound knowledge of all aspects of resort operation and finance.
    • Exceptional verbal, written and strategic planning skills.
    • Strong organization skills.
    • Ability to effectively direct labor productivity.
    • Financial management skills e.g., ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
    • Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems – Opera (Fidelio), Micros.
    • Strategic planning skills.
    • Ability to evaluate business trends, determine applicability to customer profile and modify business strategies accordingly.
    • Ability to take constructive action without relying on directions from others.
    • Ability to network and build relationships to grow the business.
    • Strong problem-solving skills; encourages new innovative solutions when appropriate.
    • Must be willing and available to work all days and shifts.
  • Oversee day to day management of entire resort including development and implementation of process and management guidelines.
  • Occasional travel abroad representing the resort in marketing and public relations tradeshows.
  • Review financial data and prepare executive reports for owners and international management company.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Excessive Standing and walking may be necessary
  • Full range of mobility and the ability to travel on a regular basis throughout the property for monitoring and inspections

 

KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Keen understanding of marketing / public relations / advertising strategies, and the ability to create sales and marketing plans.
  • At least 12 years’ experience in managerial role at high-end hotel/resort with in-depth

Salary commencing at $90,000.00 per annum and commensurate with experience. Salary does not include service charge
