Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will oversee:
- Production of patties, baked goods, and commissary items
- Quality Assurance and compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
- Warehouse Management and Distribution to outlets
- Fleet Management, vehicle maintenance, and routing
- Procurement & Inventory Control
- People Management, team development and performance
You will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are efficient, safe, compliant, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Factory & Production Operations
- Plan and monitor daily and long-term production schedules and output levels
- Ensure adherence to production standards, safety, and quality benchmarks
- Conduct inspections and enforce compliance with food handling regulations
Warehouse & Distribution
- Manage layout, inventory storage (cold and dry), FIFO systems, and dispatch
- Oversee goods receipt, staging, and delivery to retail locations
- Maintain accurate stock levels and oversee regular cycle and monthly counts
Fleet & Logistics
- Ensure all company vehicles are serviced, tracked, and roadworthy
- Manage distribution routing and on-time deliveries islandwide
Performance, Compliance & Reporting
- Monitor and control departmental budgets and KPIs
- Investigate discrepancies, recommend operational improvements
- Generate and review reports for internal audit and management review
People Management
- Supervise managers across Production, QA, Bakery, Warehouse & Purchasing
- Lead recruitment, training, discipline, and performance appraisals
- Foster a positive, results-driven team culture across departments
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure full compliance with Factory Act and HACCP principles
- Implement workplace safety programs, training, and hazard monitoring
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Production, Operations Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years in a senior operations/warehouse/production management role
- Valid General Driver’s Licence and Food Handler’s Permit
