The Food Services Manager will be responsible for the operations of the Food Services Centre to include general oversight of kitchen procedures, planning, coordinating and supervising the financial aspects of the Unit.

Core Functions

  • Manage the operations of the Food Services Centre to include general oversight of kitchen procedures, planning, coordinating and supervising the financial aspects of the unit.
  • Monitor finances for the unit in accordance with budgeted allocations, to include food, labour and other controllable expenses.
  • Support the human-resource functions in the food services area, by participating in sourcing, interviewing and selecting new employees and monitoring employee performance and training.
  • Monitor the application of safety policies and procedures for all food service facilities within the bank in keeping with The Public Health Act (Food Handling), Standard Operating Procedures and applicable NCB Group policies and strategic goals.
  • Provide consultative guidance and support in identifying the resource requirements ( equipment, structure) for ensuring a smooth operations of the Food Services Centre and other cooking facilities within the bank.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science/Institutional Management, Management Studies, Business Administration or any other related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in food services management in a large scale operation with exposure to budgeting, coordination of meal delivery and procurement of supplies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify shortcomings in the preparation and service of food and introduce improved quality control standards and procedures.
  • Food Handlers Certification and knowledge of health standards and regulations for food safety.
  • Knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory management, food safety and HACCP is required.
