GENRERAL MANAGER - CORPORATE SERVICES

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide strategic oversight of the HR, IT, Administration & Procurement and Registry units; 
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process; 
  • Manage the development of training plans and programmes; 
  • Manage the administration of the Bank’s Performance Management System; 
  • Develop and monitorthe Bank’s Annual Administrative Budget; 
  • Manage the Bank’s procurement of goods and services; 
  • Oversee the maintenance of the facilities; 
  • Co-ordinate the Bank’s Business Continuity Plan; 
  • Manage utilization of information technology in the Bank’s operationsto maximizeoperational efficiencies; 
  • Ensure proper and accurate reports are prepared and submitted as required 
  • Participate in the effective management of risk within the Division; and 
  • Perform duties of Secretary to the Pension Fund.  

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

The position requires the following qualifications/experience:

  • Masters Degree in Human Resource Development/Management or related discipline with at least eight (9) years’ experience in Human Resource Management and General Administration at least four (4) of which should be in a managerial position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of and experience with Human Resource Information systems;
  • Excellent knowledge of labour laws and industrial relations practices;
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs;
  • Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement Policies and Procedures would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of Information Technology in Bank operations;
  • Ability to motivate subordinates towards high levels of performance;
  • Knowledge of budget preparation; and
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
