Position Summary

The Frito Lay Business Developer is responsible for executing and maintaining brand-approved planograms, ensuring pricing adherence, conducting pricing audits, and identifying sales gaps in trade. The Business Developer collaborates with merchandisers, sales representatives, and key account managers to optimize in-store execution and maximize brand presence.

Key Accountabilities

  • Planograming – Ensures all brand approved planograms are executing across all the stores under his/her purview. The Frito Lay Business Developer is also responsible for adjusting incorrect planograms in store and guiding the respective merchandiser on proper planogram adherence.
  • Pricing adherence – Highlight all pricing deviations to the respective merchandiser, sales representative and KAM/ASM and follow up to ensure that the deviation is rectified.
  • Pricing audits – Assists the Brand Manager in all pricing audits. The frequency and methodology of these pricing audits will be determined by the respective Brand Manager and BUH.
  • Sales gap identification – Identify all sales gaps on trade and immediately inform the relevant sales representative and KAM/ASM and follow up to ensure that the gap is filled.
  • Shelf space preservation & growth – Ensures that the brands under their purview do not ever lose space on shelf. They are also required to identify, negotiate and capitalize on opportunities for additional space on shelf.
  • POP material management – Assort and distribute the POP material to the merchandising team.
  • Competitor information – Assist the Brand Manager in acquiring and compiling competitor activity. The frequency and methodology of these pricing audits will be determined by the respective Brand Manager and BUH.
  • Proof of Performance – Acquire all trade pictures that are required for month submissions of Supplier Proof of Performance.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • BSc. in Marketing or Business Management
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in trade marketing
  • Experience in sales or merchandising will be an asset
  • Strong trade relationships required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic level of proficiency in MS Office
