A food distribution company in Kingston has a vacancy for a Forklift Operator for full-time employment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse and across the property, supporting delivery loading and other warehouse operations.

Principal Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to transport pallets of food products within the warehouse and across the property
• Load and offload delivery trucks accurately and efficiently in accordance with delivery schedules
• Stack, organise, and relocate pallets and inventory in designated warehouse locations
• Conduct daily pre-operation checks on the forklift and report any faults or maintenance needs
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine forklift maintenance to minimise downtime
• Work in compliance with all warehouse safety protocols and procedures
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and the delivery team to meet operational targets
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment
• Assist with inventory counts and stock management as directed

Key Competencies

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Knowledge of basic forklift maintenance and troubleshooting
• Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to workplace health and safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
