Fire Systems Supervisor (Direct to Client)

The Fire Systems Supervisor will oversee the installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, suppression systems, and related equipment.

Salary - TT$8,000 + Travel Allowance

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations of fire protection teams, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to required standards.
• Plan/work alongside, schedule, and oversee inspections, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, and related safety systems.
• Provide technical guidance and training to technicians, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards, local fire codes, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities regarding fire system requirements and project progress.
• Prepare and review reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide solutions.
• Monitor inventory, tools, and materials required for fire system works.
• Ensure all safety protocols and company policies are strictly followed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• MEET (Mechanical Engineering Technician) Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire protection systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Certification in fire alarm/sprinkler/suppression systems (e.g., NICET, NFPA training, or equivalent)would be an asset.
• Strong knowledge of fire codes, standards, and regulations (NFPA, OSHA, local fire safety laws).
• Technical proficiency in fire alarm systems, sprinklers, and suppression systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system schematics.
• Computer literacy for reporting and scheduling & tendering purposes.
