The role supports financial reporting activities, including the preparation of both statutory and management reports.
Core Functions
- Support financial reporting activities, including the preparation of both statutory and management reports.
- Assist with maintaining an accurate General Ledger.
- Conduct investment analysis and assist with pricing instruments in the Group’s portfolio.
- Participate in the planning and budgeting processes.
- Monitor compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures.
- Review sub-ledgers and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare draft financial statements, analyses, and note disclosures for review.
- Contribute to regulatory compliance efforts and support strategic business initiatives.
- Provide support in the training and performance monitoring of Accounting Officers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or any other related discipline.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ of experience in a bank, life insurance company, or other financial institution.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, investment accounting, and corporate taxation are mandatory
