JOB SUMMARY

Provide support across all finance functional areas, providing direct support to the CFO, with direct oversight of the payroll, accounts receivables and accounts payables portfolios.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial/Reporting
  • Partners with the CFO and Senior Managers in the business to provide strategic recommendations supported by financial analysis and projections and revenue/expense analysis.
  • Develops, implement and monitor the financial and accounting strategies, policies and procedures of the company to ensure that the organization achieves its financial and accounting strategic goals and operational objectives.
  • Designs and implement a framework to drive financial acumen and accountability across the organization; provide timely and meaningful financial analyses to aid decision making.
  • Advises on contract negotiations from a financial impact perspective.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP):
  • Manages and supervises the Accounts Receivable (AR) function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, - collections, and reconciliations.
  • Oversees the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to optimize cash flow, minimize credit risk, and improve collections efficiency.
Treasury:
  • Manages treasury activities including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and investment strategies to optimize liquidity and minimize financial risk.
  • Monitors and analyses market trends, interest rates, and currency fluctuations to inform treasury decisions and mitigate financial exposure.
Payroll:
  • Leads the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, tax filings, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with HR and other departments to address payroll-related inquiries, resolve issues, and implement process improvements.
Intercompany Transactions:
  • Oversees intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and settlements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline intercompany processes, improve transparency, and mitigate intercompany risks.
General Ledger (GL) Management:
  • Maintains the integrity of the General Ledger (GL) by overseeing journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements related to GL activities.
Other:
  • Assist in monthly/annual stock taking as needed
  • Promote safety awareness and the development of a Safety Culture within the company
  • Liaise with external customers/contractors/suppliers as and when necessary
  • Compliance with all EIGL Policies
  • Any other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Completed ACCA, CPA or Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
  • 5 years experience in a similar role
  • 3 years managerial experience/leading a team
  • 5 years experience working in the manufacturing industry
