Facilities Supervisor - Maintenance

 

 

   The incumbent will be required to supervise and coordinate all facilities maintenance activities with an aim to assure          the integrity, aesthetics, safety and functionality of all infrastructure and site utilities.

 

  • Optimize the human, physical and capital resources required to achieve Facilities Maintenance objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with established statutory, industry and regulatory practices and procedures.       
  • Determine capital investment requirements, develop relevant proposals, business cases and CAPEX documentation, implement and supervise approved projects.
  • Prepare facilities reports and studies required by the job function.
  • Supervise the implementation of facilities projects to ensure that established standards specifications and work targets are achieved.
  • Identify and monitor the work of external contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and contractual terms.
  • Plans, directs and controls the use of available human, physical and financial resources for Facilities in achieving work targets, standards and specifications.
  • Assign work to subordinates and oversee to ensure daily objectives are achieved.
  • Identify and report real and potential issues and non-conformances and suggest possible solutions.
  • Adhere to the Company’s established good manufacturing practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Quality requirements.
  • Actively promote, support and comply with Kiss Baking Company Limited’s established Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and industry best practices;
  • Perform other related duties as required by the job function and/or as directed by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Plan and coordinate all facilities maintenance activities and projects, ensuring that all work is completed on time, at the required cost and quality
  • Manage the facilities expense budgets including overtime, ensuring adherence to all procurement policies and procedures, and that all costs are optimized
  • Implement, oversee, ensure execution compliance and continuously improve, all preventive and predictive maintenance programs for the facility including but not limited to buildings, lighting, gardens and grounds, HVAC and Water and Sewerage Systems
  • Manage all facilities contracts to ensure that obligations are fulfilled
  • Audit the work of facilities staff and contractors to ensure quality in workmanship and address any gaps in technical and behavioural competencies.
  • Manage, monitor and control all facilities projects, renovations or refurbishments to ensure completion as per defined project milestones and deliverables
  • Develop scope, bill of materials, drawings and associated project documentation for the effective management of all facilities projects
  • Develop business cases for Capital Expenditure projects
  • Ensure that the Company complies with all applicable statutory requirements for the sites, buildings and environment
  • Ensure that subordinates comply with established disciplinary, attendance and punctuality procedures and guidelines.
  • Inspect buildings and structures for repairs and renovations, and authorize fitness for re-entry after emergency response.
  • Supervision and Support: Willing to work on Weekends including Sundays and Public Holidays, to supervise or execute facilities maintenance activities. Be available on call 24 / 7 to respond to breakdowns or emergencies. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND SKILLS REQUIRED

 

  • Facilities, Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technician’s Diploma with at least five years’ experience in a facilities environment at a supervisory level.
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Plant/Facilities environment.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Must have experience working in a shift environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills with keen attention to detail and effective project time management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Team player with a commitment to honesty, reliability, and customer-focused service.
  • Ability to mentor and develop new recruits and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.
  • Willingness to work on shift or a roster which would require supervision of work on Sundays.
