We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Officer who is highly motivated, self-driven, and resourceful.

Kris An Charles Investments Co. Ltd. has been Jamaica’s premier microfinance institution since 1992, providing accessible financial solutions that empower individuals, families, and businesses. As we continue to strengthen and modernize our operations, we are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Officer to support our growing network of offices and branches. 

This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in well-run facilities, understands the importance of safety and security in a financial environment, and enjoys solving problems before they disrupt operations. 

About the Role 

The Facilities Officer is responsible for supporting the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our physical facilities. You will help ensure that our offices and branches are well-maintained, secure, complaint, and ready to support staff and customers every day.

You will work closely with Administration, Operations, IT, and external service providers to keep our facilities functioning at a high standard. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate routine and preventative maintenance across offices and branches
  • Monitor and support the upkeep of building systems, utilities, and office infrastructure
  • Assist with health, safety, fire, and insurance compliance requirements
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Maintain asset and equipment inventories (furniture, office equipment, generators, etc.)
  • Support office layouts, workstation setups, refurbishments, and relocations
  • Track facilities-related expenses and support cost control initiatives
  • Maintain accurate facilities records, logs, and reports
  • Support audits, inspections, and business continuity preparations 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2–4 years’ experience in facilities, property, or maintenance management
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations is an asset 
  • Must own a reliable motor vehicle

  • Working knowledge of building maintenance and facilities operations
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage vendors and service providers effectively
  • Good problem-solving and practical decision making ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate in relevant applications
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Proactive, adaptable, and service-oriented
