FCP Engineering Quality & Assurance Engineer

This role is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and systems strictly adhere to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) quality standards, thereby supporting operational reliability, safety, and performance excellence across the organization.

The Quality Assurance Engineer is to provide comprehensive technical support to the FCP Engineering team by evaluating and addressing engineering-related concerns. This role is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and systems strictly adhere to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) quality standards, thereby supporting operational reliability, safety, and performance excellence across the organization.

 Education and  Experience:

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical or Industrial Engineering
• 5 years’ work experience with port terminal equipment, asset management software, and quality control methodologies.

 Knowledge, skills & Abilities:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to apply mechanical and electrical engineering theories, practices, and procedures to lean engineering processes.
• Certifications: ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or other relevant quality assurance certifications (preferred).
• Ability to conduct field design improvements and troubleshoot electromechanical issues.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of directors, managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to perform risk/impact assessments, treatments and create controls through policies, procedures and standards with guidelines.

 Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Ensure Quality Control & Compliance for FCP machinery and equipment to meet industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Implement Quality control measures, to ensure preventive maintenance program comply with OEM standards to secure equipment performance and keep optimization within equipment operational life. 
• Develop test Plans that create structured test cases to evaluate FCP port machinery performance.
• Conduct inspection & testing routine inspections, performance tests, and audits on FCP port terminal machinery.
• Develop and implement Asset Management strategies for asset tracking, maintenance scheduling, and lifecycle management.
• Analyze operational workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime, helping FCP to sustain Process Improvement protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance activities, and compliance reports, to help with internal and external audit measures and controls.
• Provide guidance to FCP Engineering team members on best practices for machinery handling and maintenance using as reference the quality standards results obtain during testing and performing inspections.
• Ensure FCP machinery and equipment meet industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Apply and use the latest technology and tools to automate testing processes while also conducting hands-on evaluations.
• Perform test in all FCP equipment ensuring proper and safe functionalities of the equipment and that components work under different conditions such as severe weather changes and seasonal conditions.
• Investigate defects and determining root causes to prevent future technical concerns and potential components issues.
• Maintains logs, records, files, and other documentation related to warranty aspects of projects involving various FCP equipment manufacturers.
