Experienced Operations Leader wanted to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation for a leading Caribbean manufacturer.

Overview: Our client is one of the longest established Manufacturers in the Caribbean with a presence in multiple countries. Their portfolio encompasses a diverse range of molded products and services tailored to industrial, commercial, and domestic needs including Water storage Solutions, Refuse collection products and many more.

Due to growth, they are seeking to appoint a proven professional to operate from the St. Lucia office and “lead from the front” to ensure operational efficiency and sustained revenue growth.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Be responsible and accountable for the daily operations whilst ensuring compliance with St. Lucia regulations.
• Be responsible and accountable for Marketing and Sales objectives of by planning, developing, implementing and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
• Develop operating budgets and provide strategic direction to the sales and operations team with guidance from Head Office
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective, efficient and safe conduct of all of the Company’s operations.
• Supervise employees, which includes but is not limited to, work allocation, training and development, problem resolution, performance evaluations, taking disciplinary action as necessary and motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
• Participate in and co-ordinate the design and implementation of data collection and analysis of systems to include computer and/or network systems and administrative procedures.
• Manage and co-ordinate the Operational Infrastructure of the Saint Lucia operations.
• Ensure the team has optimal production solutions and equipment needs, whilst continuously maintaining and controlling the facilities and infrastructure of the factory.
• Oversee forecasting of facility capabilities and annual production operating budget.
• Develop 12-month Sales and Purchasing Forecast
• Overseeing the Receivables management process- ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
• Be responsible for ordering Subsidiary stock with input from the Production / Warehouse Supervisor to maintain most appropriate inventory levels and minimize stock outs.
• Prepare monthly or as required report on the sales and operational positions of the company

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Professional Qualifications (master’s degree level or appropriate certifications) in a business-related discipline.
• Proven experience in Manufacturing Sector ideal.
• Strong leadership skills that cover all areas within a fast-paced environment (e.g. Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Operations) by utilizing and empowering internal stakeholders.
• Ability to “lead from the front” with regards generating/maintaining business revenues.
• Experience in networking at senior levels within the local corporate sector.
• Excellent organizational and coordinating skills.
• Ability to create a “can-do-will-do” culture that promotes efficiency and increased productivity.
