F.O.J Museum and Event Center is seeking a creative, energetic, and well-connected Event Planner / Concert Promoter to lead the development and promotion of events at our venue.
Company Overview
F.O.J Museum and Event Center is a new and ambitious startup located in Falmouth, Jamaica, designed to become a premier cultural, entertainment, and hospitality destination. We are currently building our founding leadership team and are seeking innovative, resourceful, and motivated professionals who are interested in forming long-term career relationships while helping to establish and grow a world-class organization from the ground up.
Successful candidates will not only be responsible for managing their respective departments but will also be responsible for building and leading their teams within each department. This is a foundational opportunity to shape operational systems, workplace culture, and service standards.
Each department will play a direct role in building and marketing the FOJ brand in new and innovative ways. We are looking for individuals who can think creatively, take initiative, and contribute original ideas that will help establish FOJ as a landmark destination. Innovation, leadership, and ownership will be essential to success in these roles.
Event Planner/ Concert Promoter
The Event Planner/Concert Promoter will coordinate and execute events and contribute original ideas to develop new event concepts. This role supports FOJ’s growth and customer experience.
This individual will be responsible for planning, organizing, and promoting a wide range of events including concerts, seminars, cultural events and theatrical productions. Our performance venue has seating for 396 guests, allowing for intimate upscale events designed to deliver premium entertainment experiences. The successful candidate will also work closely with artists, performers, sponsors, and promoters to create exciting and memorable experiences that attract both local and international audiences.
This role requires someone who is innovative, resourceful, and passionate about entertainment and event production, with the ability to turn ideas into successful events.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in the relevant field
- Must be innovative, resourceful, sharp, and motivated to succeed
- Ability to build and lead a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Interest in building a long-term career relationship with the company
