The Entrepreneurial Specialist is responsible for identifying and determining strategies for the creation of strategic partnerships with entities and industries to support capacity building and sustainability initiatives for existing and potential MSMEs. The job holder plays a significant role in the facilitation and coordination of various capacity building initiatives for instructors of Entrepreneurship as well as learners who are desirous of operating businesses.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
ü NVQ-J Level 5 Certification or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education Administration, or related discipline
ü At least (3) years’ relevant work experience in a comparable position and business environment such as a higher education institution, an economic development institution
KEY COMPETENCIES:
ü Excellent Research, Statistical and Organisational Development skills
ü Excellent knowledge of Entrepreneurial skills and methods
ü Knowledge of Business and Regulatory requirements (locally and Internationally)
ü Excellent knowledge to develop Business Proposals and Plans
ü Good knowledge of the Training and Development Sector
KEY DUTIES:
ü Facilitates the development and delivery of training seminars for all institutions; provide assistance with development of training materials
ü Facilitates the development and review of Business Plans and other documents for MSME clients
ü Assesses and monitors the operations of clients’ businesses
ü Remains current on economic and industrial developments in order to provide useful information to stakeholders
ü Conducts training needs analysis for the internal training based enterprises and external MSME’s to identify gaps, determine relevance and enhance processes, products and services
ü Collaborates with other departments for the design and delivery of entrepreneurial workshops and seminars
ü Provides assistance and develop materials for seminars, conferences, publications, and special projects as required
ü Monitors and evaluates the impact of training interventions provided to clients
ü Prepares, reviews and comments on reports and technical position papers as required
ü Represents the organization by formal address at meetings; conferences and workshops locally; internal and external committees
