The Enterprise Risk Manger is essential in identifying, evaluating and managing the risks that the company could encounter.
Supreme Ventures Services Limited, a subsidiary of Supreme Ventures Limited, is seeking to employee a Enterprise Risk Manager. The individual will provide hands-on development of risk models involving market, credit and operational risk, assure controls are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support. Excellent quantitative and analytical skills are required for the role, along with the ability to apply those skills across a variety of business processes.
The role requires that the manager communicates risk policies and processes for the organization. The incumbent will develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks, ensuring proactive risk identification and strategic decision-making. The idel candidate will also perform the following duties:
Risk Identification and Assessment
- Identify and analyze potential risks to the group, considering their likelihood and potential impact.
Risk Mitigation
- Develop and implement strategies and action plans to reduce or eliminate identified risks.
Risk Monitoring and Reporting
- Continuously track and review the effectiveness of risk management processes and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
Framework Development and Implementation
- Create and maintain comprehensive risk management frameworks and processes.
- Plan, design and implement an overall risk management process for the organization.
Risk Communication and Training
- Educate and train employees on risk management practices, promoting a risk-aware culture.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work with various departments and teams to ensure effective risk management across the group.
Policy Review and Compliance
- Regularly review and update risk policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Establish and quantify the organization’s 'risk appetite', i.e. the level of risk they are prepared to accept.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, actuarial science or business administration form a reputable university.
- Specific training in risk management, either through coursework or professional certification is crucial.
- Three to six years of related work experience, with at least three years in a senior risk management role.
- Knowledge in financial risk management, compliance, or supply chain management.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management Software
