The Engineering Assistant provides critical administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the Maintenance Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Records and Documentation Management
2. Contractor, Vendor, and Parts Coordination
3. Maintenance Support and Work Tracking
4. Financial and Administrative Support
5. HR & Attendance Administration (Maintenance Department)
6. Communication & Compliance Support
7. Assist the Plant Engineer and Maintenance Planner with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
8. Coordinate logistics for departmental meetings, training sessions, and external contractor visits.
9. Maintain office supplies and stationery inventory for the Maintenance Department.
10. Support maintenance/updates on digital or automated maintenance systems where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical/vocational qualifications
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in an administrative role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with CMMS or ERP systems is an asset.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of procurement and invoice processing protocols.
• Familiarity with food safety or quality management systems (FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP) is a plus.
