Join a national UN Volunteer talent pool in Jamaica to support emergency response and recovery efforts. We are looking for professionals in health, logistics, WASH, protection, education, shelter, and data/IT to be mobilized when needed.

Jamaica is regularly exposed to hurricanes and other natural hazards, which can significantly impact communities across the country. In this context, the UNV Programme is building a national talent pool to strengthen readiness and ensure the availability of skilled professionals who can support humanitarian response and recovery efforts when needed.

We are looking for professionals across Jamaica who are ready to contribute their expertise in coordination, field operations, and community-based response.

We are looking for profiles in:

  • Health
  • WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene)
  • Logistics & Supply Chain
  • Protection / GBV
  • Education
  • Shelter & Debris Clearance
  • Data/IT

Where we are looking:

We strongly encourage applications from candidates based in:

  • Kingston & St. Andrew
  • St. Catherine (Spanish Town / Portmore)
  • Montego Bay (St. James)
  • Clarendon (May Pen)
  • Western parishes (Westmoreland, Hanover)
  • Northern & Eastern parishes (St. Mary, Portland, St. Thomas)

Candidates with local knowledge and community experience — especially outside Kingston — are highly encouraged to apply.

How to express your interest:

1️⃣ Register or update your profile on the UNV platform: UVP

2️⃣ Complete this short form to join the Jamaica talent pool.

Registration with UNV does not guarantee an assignment, but helps us identify and connect with suitable candidates when opportunities arise.

To learn more about the conditions and benefits of volunteering with the United Nations, you can explore the UNV Calculator, and visit the UNV website which provides an estimate of entitlements based on duty station and assignment type.

Your support in sharing this message will help us reach more professionals who are ready to contribute when help is needed most.
