Join the UNV Talent Pool in Suriname to support governance, elections and community engagement initiatives. Open to candidates across all districts, especially those with local and community-based experience.

Are you based in Paramaribo, Wanica, Nickerie, Commewijne, Saramacca, Brokopondo, Marowijne, Para or Sipaliwini?

The UN Volunteers (UNV) programme is building a talent pool in Suriname to support upcoming initiatives in governance, elections, civic engagement and community outreach. We are looking to connect with professionals and community members interested in contributing to meaningful impact across the country.

Profiles we are looking for:

• Electoral & Governance Specialists
• Civic Education & Community Engagement Officers
• Data, IT & Civil Registry professionals
• Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) specialists
• Gender & Inclusion experts
• Field Coordinators & Outreach Assistants
• Logistics & Operations support

Candidates with local knowledge and community experience, especially from remote areas, are strongly encouraged to apply.

What we are looking for:

• Interest in governance, elections or community development
• Experience with communities, institutions or data systems
• Fluency in Dutch and/or English (local languages are an asset)
• Motivation to support inclusive and participatory processes
