Electrical Technician - KISS BAKING JAMAICA

Kiss Baking Company (Jamaica) is seeking to recruit an Electrical Technician to coordinate and maintain the electrical and electronic components of the company’s machinery, equipment and facilities and to conduct predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize production capacity and efficiency.  

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Troubleshooting and performing corrective, preventive and predictive electrical/electronic repair and maintenance on the company's buildings, plant, machinery and all other related equipment.
2. Conducting routine checks on standby generators, inclusive of battery, fuel, lubrication and cooler checks.
3. Analyzing equipment failures to determine primary/root cause.
4. Ensuring consistent proper lighting of the facilities by repairing and installing security lights and lighting within the factory and office buildings.
5. Repairing and installing auxiliary equipment such as air conditioning units, refrigerators, fans and hoists.
6. Installing and repairing electrical circuits as required.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:

• Sound knowledge of JS21(Electrical regulations)
• Sound knowledge of electrical/electronics engineering principles
• Working knowledge of PLCs
• Working knowledge of general machinery and equipment repair techniques
• Sound knowledge of safety policies and practices as they relate to electrical components in a manufacturing plant.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing practices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years' post qualification experience as an Electrical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
