EXTRA HEAVY T / TRACTOR TRAILOR DRIVER

The incumbent will be responsible for the safe, timely and reliable delivery of goods to assigned clients and suppliers.

Job Summary: The incumbent will be responsible for the safe, timely and reliable delivery of goods to assigned clients and suppliers. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport and deliver goods to assigned client base and suppliers.
• Drives assigned vehicles in a safe, responsible and defensive manner, in accordance with the Laws of Trinidad & Tobago.
• Assist with loading delivery trucks, containers and offloading supplier trucks as and when required.
• Adhere to all the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental, Policies and Procedures.
• Perform routine vehicle checks (fuel, tire pressure, cleanliness, etc).
• Report any vehicle damage, incidents, or maintenance issues immediately.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by the Facilities Coordinator or designate. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent time management and navigation skills
• Customer-service oriented with a helpful and supportive attitude.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws, regulations and driving routes.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Minimum Training and Experience:

• 5 CXC/GCE ‘O’ Level passes including Mathematics and English.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s Class 5 license
• Minimum 3 years Extra Heavy-T / Tractor Trailer driving experience.
