ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The ideal candidate for this role is an innovative and results-driven Electrical Engineer that will strengthen our technical team. A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to ensure our electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance to the Maintenance team on electrical installations and equipment performance.
• Advise management on improvements and new technologies to improve productivity and save cost.
• Lead the design, specification, and implementation of new equipment and technologies.
• Develop and execute energy-saving programs across facilities.
• Co-ordinate efforts to diagnose problems and maintain the reliability of electrical systems and equipment.
• Define and refine specifications for all electrical equipment and installations in alignment with regulatory standards and operational requirements.
• Monitor and manage renewable and other power generating equipment and facilities.
• Perform routine inspections and electrical audits to ensure safety compliance of all panels, breakers, cabling etc.
• Track energy use by location to ensure operational efficiency.
• Monitor solar/PV output to ensure maintenance and maximize performance.
• Maintain up-to-date line diagrams for all locations.
• Stay current with technologies that support energy efficiency and management at Rainforest.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferable food related
• Proven experience in industrial electrical systems and equipment
• Knowledge of renewable energy (solar) systems.
• Knowledge of energy management practices and safety regulations
• Exposure to industrial refrigeration systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
