Driver- Commercial Sales

The Driver primarily assist the Sales Department as requested to ensure the provision of excellent customer service. The role involves commercial vehicle movements and transport team members, assisting with demonstration days, and ensuring operational efficiency across various commercial activities.

Job Summary

• The Driver primarily provides driving/courier support to the Sales Department in adherence with established company policies and procedures and the Motor Traffic Laws of Trinidad and Tobago. To assist the Sales Department as requested to ensure the provision of excellent customer service. The role involves commercial vehicle movements and transport team members, assisting with demonstration days, and ensuring operational efficiency across various commercial activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles including trucks, buses, and tractors (and where applicable, backhoes and excavators).
• Transport personnel, equipment, and tools to and from work sites and company locations across Trinidad.
• Support demo days by transporting vehicles and staff to customer sites or special events.
• Liaise with contractors, sales representatives, and managers to coordinate schedules and deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles, identify and report defects or damage.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, contractor forms, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
• Adherent to all road traffic regulations and always company safety policies.
• Report mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly to the relevant personnel.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as fueling, cleaning, and general upkeep.
• Delivery and pick up of documents as per manager’s request.
• To adhere to all established HSSE guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Any other duties which are related to but not limited to the above as directed by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 CXC passes – * English compulsory
• Valid Class 3,4,5 Driver’s Permit (Trinidad and Tobago)
• Minimum 3 years driving experience operating commercial vehicles
• Computer Literacy certification will be considered an asset
• Must have Certificate of Good Character
• Defensive Driving Certificate – an asset
• No Traffic Offenses & Demerit Points.

Work Environment

• Field-based role with regular movement between ports , contractor sites, customer locations, licensing offices, and company facilities throughout Trinidad
• Frequent interaction with commercial clients, suppliers, and internal departments
• Occasionally extended working hours, especially during busy periods or special assignments.
